Travel awards for external researchers

The Kansas Biological Survey & Center for Ecological Research offers monetary awards to external researchers (those from institutions outside KU) to offset the costs of travel to conduct research at the KU Field Station. Awards range from $500 to $2,000 depending on need and circumstance.

Who is eligible: Researchers affiliated with institutions external to KU (college, university, agency, private organization).

How to apply: Apply at any time using our webform. There is no deadline. Funding decisions will generally be made within two weeks of receiving an application.
