Armitage Center information & fees

The Armitage Education Center is part of the KU campus network and serves as an outstanding site for meetings and retreats. The center's 550-square-foot flexible space has modular tables and seating (accommodating up to 45 people), with an adjoining 325-square-foot fireplace room that leads directly to a 250-square-foot full kitchen. Just outside the kitchen is a patio with a pergola and an adjacent lawn area. Laboratory facilities also may be requested but are subject to availability and an additional fee.

The operation and maintenance of the Armitage Center is supported principally by KU, the Kansas Biological Survey & Center for Research, and user fees.

Day use for KU groups is $127 per day, this includes use of the refrigerator for food storage. External rates apply to non-KU groups ($186 academic or $381 daily).

In some circumstances, the KU Field Station may provide support to persons or groups lacking funds to pay user fees. For questions related to use of the Armitage Center, contact Sheena Parsons, Field Station manager (785-864-6070, sheenap@ku.edu).
