Biography

Kirsten is the contact for members of the news media, communications staff across KU, and anyone with questions regarding content on this website and the KU Field Station website. With more than 30 years of experience as an editor, project manager and communications manager in for-profit publishing, nonprofit foundation and university settings, Kirsten handles the full range of external communications for this research center and the KU Field Station, including news announcements, our newsletter, social media, our photo/video library, print publications, exterior signage, fundraising communications and the rest. 

Her academic study focused on poetry, the personal essay, and environmental and Native American literature. Her writing has appeared in various literary journals as well as a collection on the work of William Stafford, edited by the poet Denise Low.
