Biography

As an undergraduate, Cailin conducted research in the lab of Jamie Walters, KU faculty member in ecology and evolutionary biology, studying sex-biased longevity in Lepidoptera, the insect order of butterflies and moths. Cailin is a research assistant to Prof. Kristen Baum, director of Monarch Watch. Her research interests are conservation entomology, how the environment affects insects' survival and development, and methods of supporting endangered insects.
