The "here-ing" labyrinth

The two-mile "here-ing" labyrinth trail, shaped in the anatomy of the human ear, was created by internationally known artist Janine Antoni as "an invitation for the public to return to their bodies through intimately relating to the land." It was constructed through a partnership with KU's Spencer Museum of Art and the KU School of Architecture's DesignBuild Studio. Visit the Spencer's web page on the project for more information on the process of creating the labyrinth, and to find photos, a documentary film and more.

To walk the labyrinth, park in the gravel circle and turnaround (west side of E. 1600 Road) adjacent to the Roth Trailhead at the McColl Reserve. The trail takes about an hour to walk. It is fairly level but not ADA-accessible.
