Management of protected and sensitive species data for environmental review and state wildlife conservation planning

This project proposes to continue and refine the data sharing agreement between the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) and the Kansas Natural Heritage Inventory (KSNHI). The initial agreement was established in 2002 to facilitate the exchange of data on endangered, threatened, and rare species between the two agencies. With the current proposal, the KSNHI will continue to develop its rare species database and provide these data to KDWPT on a semi-annual basis.
