Research interests
Since 1995, John has worked on the development of the KARS GreenReport, which is used by the agricultural and forestry industries to monitor vegetation condition and change. He also has contributed to other KARS research projects, including:
- identification of grassland treatments using close-range hyperspectral remote sensing;
- change detection in pheasant habitat due to CRP management decisions;
- analysis of chemical spray drift zones in proximity of water bodies;
- and several land-use/land-cover mapping projects.
