Restoration ecology, rangeland ecology, plant ecophysiology

Prior to coming to KU, Kelly worked at a restoration ecology lab at Colorado State and on a range of projects including studying the restoration of a threatened species, and the role of grasshopper herbivory and its role in restoration projects. More recently, she has studied juniper encroachment into sagebrush systems.
