Amy's work as a member of the Kindscher Research Laboratory team includes work on the Native Medicinal Plant Research Program, research into historical ethnobotany, surveys of plant communities in both prairie and montane ecosystems, prairie restoration and conservation, maintenance of educational medicinal gardens, data analysis and development of reports. Environmental educational outreach is one of Amy’s highest priorities. She has been a diligent volunteer for scouting and school programs for more than a decade, helping to bring her enthusiasm for the natural world to local youth through camps, special events, and educational programs.
